Breakfast is most definitely my favourite meal of the day. Sometimes the idea of a delicious brekkie is one of the best motivations to get out of bed and take on the day! This 5-minute muesli is not only delicious but is packed with nutrients to start your day off with the perfect bite! (Oh, and did I mention it is super easy to prepare).
Ingredients:
- 1 Tablespoon Canola oil
- 2 cups oats
- 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla essence
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup Dates, chopped
- 1/2 cup Almonds
- 1/4 cup Goji berries
- 1/4 cup raisins
Method:
- Heat the oil in a large sauté pan
- Add the oats and mix well, making sure that all the oats are covered with the oil
- Add the dates, almonds, vanilla essence, cinnamon, turmeric, and salt and mix well.
- Continue cooking for a few minutes until golden brown and toasty
- Add the goji berries and raisins and mix well
- Allow to cool for a few minutes and enjoy with some fresh fruit and yogurt
- Place the leftover muesli in an air proof container
